Michael Edwards, better known as Eddie “the Eagle”, is an English ski jumper and Olympian. In 1988, he became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping, capturing the public’s imagination and hearts with his determination and underdog spirit. His story later inspired the 2016 film Eddie the Eagle, starring Taron Egerton.
