WHAT TO WEAR
There are no rules! Some people love to treat a visit to Nevill Holt as an opportunity to dress up, but we don’t have a black tie policy. Wear what makes you feel good, but do check the weather in advance.

ACCESS
Our team is dedicated to making your visit to Nevill Holt as easy and enjoyable as possible. We have four dedicated step-free seats in the theatre stalls, and accessible toilets as you immediately enter the theatre. We also have a buggy available to help audience members across the site. Nevill Holt Festival is held in the picturesque surroundings of the Nevill Holt estate, situated on a hilltop just outside the South Leicestershire village of Medbourne. We are easily reached by car (use LE16 8EG in your satnav) and ample parking is available opposite the main gate. 

Nevill Holt is within easy reach of Northampton, Corby, Leicester, Birmingham and Nottingham. Market Harborough station is a 15-minute taxi journey away (7 miles), and serviced by trains from across the region. It is also easily accessible from London – just a  1-hour journey from St Pancras. All performances finish in time to catch the last trains.

BOOKING YOUR TICKETS

How do I book my tickets?

Festival tickets and dining reservations can be purchased through our website. If you are unable to book online please call 01858 437 451, where a member of Family Tickets will assist you.

Can I choose my seat?

Theatre seats are allocated, so you can pick your seats while booking. Seats in the Chapel are not allocated in advance, and are first-come first-served on the day of the event. 

Will I receive physical tickets?

No, you will receive a confirmation email and e-tickets to your email address when you make your booking outlining your ticket and dining purchases. 

Don’t worry if you are unable to use email to receive your e-ticket, or if you are concerned that you haven’t received your e-ticket. Please email us admin@nevillholtfestival.com or call the office on 01858 437 451 and we will sort out a solution.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

During the Opera you are very welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the beautiful Nevill Holt gardens.

During the Festival there will be a selection of food and beverages available to purchase across the site.

Where do we go in the long dining interval for the Opera?

The traditional 90-minute interval between the first and second Acts of the opera is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a meal onsite. Catered options include our fine dining restaurant and our British barbecue. Alternatively, you can bring your own picnic to enjoy in the grounds or in a covered space. We also have private pavilions for you to enjoy with up to 12 guests.

How do I book my dining?

You can book your dining through our website at the same time as booking your tickets. Alternatively, you can book it separately on our Dining Page

At the summer festival, can we buy drinks on the day or do we need to pre-order?

You will be able to buy drinks at one of our bars on the day of your visit to the summer opera festival.

Can you cater for special dietary requirements?

Please email admin@nevillholtopera.com with any dietary requirements and we will do our best to ensure they are catered for.

ON THE DAY

Where can I park?

Free parking is available on the cricket pitch opposite the main entrance to Nevill Holt. If you have trouble walking, please inform our car park attendants upon arrival, and they will ensure that you have an Access space. 

How do I get to Nevill Holt if travelling by train?

The closest train station to Nevill Holt is Market Harborough, approximately a 15-minute taxi ride away. Although taxis can be available at the station, we highly recommend booking in advance. 

What happens if it is raining or the weather is bad?

There are no outdoor performances during Nevill Holt Festival, but there are plenty of places in the gardens to shelter if the weather is not ideal. Alternatively, we invite you to visit our bookshop or attend a talk in the Chapel. 

How can I get support with access across the site?

We have a chauffeured golf buggy available to take patrons from the entrance to the restaurant and performance spaces. Wheelchair transfers can be arranged, and wheelchair seats can be booked via the box office at the time of purchase. Please call 01858 437451 if you have any questions.
